Yes yes yes. I’ll cosign on this whole album. Just gave this thing a listen to all the way through and dug it soo much. Sounds like Erykah Badu, Neptunes, electronic R&B, and the 90’s all rolled into one. YES. Damn Syd, your engineering skills are on point.

B.o.B. - “No Future”

Keep fucken wit’ me you ain’ gonna have no future.

B.o.B. wrote an Odd Future diss? Sounds like he produced it using an old Nokia cell phone (y’know, the one with the game “Snake”). IMO: weak. Try coming a little harder with your rhymes next time, Bobby.

Tyler, the Creator - “Analog” feat. Hodgy Beats (Live for BBC Radio 1)

I haven’t been listening to much new music, mostly either just really old music on vinyl or umm, Wolf Gang joints. If you haven’t listened to Goblin yet, give it a once-over. Ngl, I can easily skip over the first half of the album. The second half is more Neptunes-inspired and has a more refined lyrical direction. Some songs are dope, and “Analog” is one of them. The live version is way better than the studio version, which has more screwed vocals.

Went around Fairfax, downtown, Vermont, Hollywood, and Echo Park this weekend and saw Tyler’s face wheatpasted literally on every block. Looks like XL and the Golf Wang crew has been making their rounds around town.
But enough poppycock: Download Goblin (Deluxe Edition) here.
